From market-town terraces to former pit villages
Our visits take us from Victorian terraces near Pontefract's centre to the old mining towns to the south — Hemsworth, South Elmsall and South Kirkby — and out to Knottingley and Ferrybridge in the east.
Older homes often have narrow hallways and uneven floors, which matter far more for laminate and LVT than for carpet. We check every subfloor when we measure, so the price we give you already includes any levelling the floor needs.

Flooring questions from Pontefract homes
Do I have to choose between carpet and hard flooring?
Not at all. Most homes end up with a mix, and we bring carpet, vinyl, LVT and laminate on every visit so you can plan each room and get one quote for the whole house.
Which floor is best for a house with dogs?
LVT is a strong choice — it's hard-wearing, most of it is waterproof and it has a built-in scratch and stain guard. If you'd prefer carpet in some rooms, a bleach-cleanable polypropylene makes accidents easier to deal with.
Can one floor run all the way through my kitchen-diner?
Yes. A single run of LVT or laminate through a kitchen-diner or open-plan ground floor avoids joins and makes the space feel bigger. We'll suggest which suits your room best once we've seen how it's used.
Do you cover Hemsworth and South Elmsall?
Yes. As well as Pontefract, our home showroom visits Featherstone, Ackworth, Hemsworth, South Elmsall, South Kirkby, Knottingley and the villages in between.
What payment do you accept?
Card (all major credit and debit cards) or cash. We don't offer finance; we focus on keeping prices low instead.
Do you take care of floor levelling?
Yes. Hard floors in particular need a flat base, so we check the subfloor on the visit and can screed or ply-board it before fitting.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. The home visit, measure and written quote cost nothing and you're under no obligation to go ahead.
